      Ground floor opportunity with this exciting specialty pharmaceutical company which plans to triple in size in the next year.

      This privately-held company is focused on the development and commercialization of patent-protected drug products that fulfill unmet needs in the treatment of infectious disease. It is developing a broad portfolio of therapeutic products for the antibacterial market based on its unique controlled release drug delivery technology.
    Responsibilities: 
      • Direct the activities of scientists responsible for:
        • Solid dosage protype development through Phase 1 pilot GMP supplies manufacturing.
        • Investigation of physical pharmacy aspects such as solubility, compatibility and absorption.
        • Multiparticulate / bead development and functional coating with polymers resulting in compressed tablets.
        • Transfer of products to scale-up group after "proof of concept" studies are completed.

    Requirements: 
      • Pharm.D. or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry or related field.
      • A minimum of six years of pharmaceutical industry formulation experience.
      • Expertise and experience with controlled release solid oral dosage and/or semi-solid formulation. Must have experience in bead coating and multiparticulates.
      • Excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to make presentations to director-level management.

Compensation:  $100,000 - $150,000 plus excellent benefits.
